Seminario Filippo Cardano - Spin-orbit photonic quantum walks

We present a photonic platform realizing unitary maps on one and two-dimensional sets of optical transverse modes. By using spin-orbit metasurfaces, it implements quantum walks that map single inputs to hundreds output modes with minimal optical losses, and enable the
simulation of topological phases of matter.
